Welcome to the October Safety Suzy newsletter.
As we’re halfway through October, the schedule ahead is full of the usual refresher classes (asbestos supervisors, designers, inspectors, project monitors, operations and maintenance, and mold; see below for the current schedule). We also have mold worker, remediation/supervisor, and assessor initial courses, asbestos project monitor, and inspector initial courses all before the new year.
We are also reminding everyone about the different ways you can promote your company to our students through our newsletter, podcasts, and the course manuals. Post job opportunities through the newsletter and our LinkedIn Group, New York State Asbestos.

The Pride of Future Environment Designs Training Center!
https://futureenvironmentdesigns.com/
As many of you know, our website has changed a lot since 2001. At first, we split the information we provided our attendees across three websites. One website was for our current schedule, a second website was our blog, and a third website was this newsletter. For many years, we wanted to merge the three websites into one website. In June 2024, we finally accomplished that process. Now the current schedule, the blog, and the newsletter can all be accessed from one website. We are very proud of our website and especially the resource page, which includes our training library.
The new website has been very successful, as we mentioned above, with over 2,000 users per month. We hope you are enjoying the website as much as we do. Based on the responses in our courses, it seems many of you are appreciative of our blog posts and especially the FEDTC Training Library. The FEDTC Training Library has over 40 years of documents created by various federal, state, and local agencies regarding asbestos, mold, indoor air quality, and safety and health.
We will eventually be adding a section to the website to honor our sponsors, partners, and advertisers. We will encourage our clients to support these partners if they can. If anyone has ideas for improving the website, we would be glad to hear your suggestions. Thank you!

The Role of Asbestos Inspections in Construction Safety Course – 0.5 Hr
This course is part of a package that includes a book & a laminated Bulk Sampling chart. Together, all three form an educational platform for asbestos inspection, environmental safety, construction safety, and professional training. As we discuss in the book, the owners and the construction industry do not always understand all the rules of sampling, and because of that, you can get wildly different proposals for asbestos surveys. This can cause significant problems once the contracts are awarded. The book, along with the rest of the materials, is meant to clarify the asbestos inspection/survey process.
